Textile Art

I took the first steps of my journey into textile art as display artist in various department stores.
From the beginning the tactility of fabric held a fascinated me. The textures of many and varied fabrics lodged in my memory and began a lifelong interest in materials either sewn or manipulated in some way to create wonderful and unique surface. 
Since graduating with a BA Hons Degree in Surface and Textile design in 2002, I have continued to hone my skills and practice my art. I am always looking to create unique designs for use in interiors, fashion, or in creating one off pieces of textile art. I use recycled and vintage fabrics as often as possible along with some unusual combinations of unwoven material. I hope you enjoy viewing my work and if it inspires you too that would be wonderful.
I will frequently add new designs and art works, share where the inspiration came from and show some of my sketches and development material on the way to the finished piece.
Commissions for textile work are welcome and from time to time I will have original work for sale.
